About the Park

Corcovado National Park protects 41,700 hectares of shallow lagoons, marshes, mangrove swamps, rivers, low-altitude cloud forest, and 46 kilometers of sandy beaches. It is home to all four monkey species found in Costa Rica, both species of sloths, and the endangered Baird's tapir.
